Exciting Hawaiian Vacations

June 27, 2009 - 8:44 am No Comments

Hawaii is an island only visited by the orivileged few. It is an island that invites you simply because there is so little you have seen about it. So when you get the chance planning for Hawaiian family vacations will probably be a very exciting time. Planning Hawaiian vacations is not easy but with the right guidance, it is not impossible either. Research is needed like in other vacation planning, and kjnowing where you want to stay and which flight you would like before hand is a definite plus.

The expectation runs high when planning Hawaiian vacations. The dream of white sandy beaches, blue-green seas and the perfect place to unwind after the stresses of the city is just a few of the expectation visitors have. There is also the exposure to the country’s amazing culture that is one to look forward to. Booking a hotel room or condo early is a good idea when planning Hawaiian vacations. For this too a little bit of research is necessary, in order to find the perfect hotel with just the right amount of everything you are looking for in your holiday.

Hawaiian vacations are ideal for honeymooners, families or business people looking for a much deserved break. There is the perfect mix of leisure, luxury and comfort. Even thought he beach is the biggest attraction in Hawaiian vacations, there are other historical and cultural sites that need to be visited as well. Finding out the special attractions in each of the six islands and ddeciding which one is the most deirable one for you will be the best way to go about planning Hawaiian vacations. For example in Big Island, there are many places that families can visit like the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, the Atlantis Submarine Kona or the Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden. Each island will be able to cater to the different tastes of each individual and will be a great experience for all.

There are many websites that offer great information on how to budget for Hawaii vacations and also give you inside information about where there are offers, at which hotels you should stay, and how to make sure you get your money’s worth from a trip. Hawaiian vacations are bound to give you memories you will treasure for a lifetime!

Will the Spanish and UK Tourist Industry Always Be Safe?

June 27, 2009 - 8:44 am No Comments

As the financial crisis begins to recover people start to look at booking a trip away. A vast amount of people have already cancelled their holidays abroad.

But a lot of people have defied the advice and carried on to book their holiday, but the latest trend seems to be too just to visit to home countries. That is either to holiday at home in Britain or to go a bit further out and visit the good old traditional Spain. 2009 has been a bad year for tourism, most countries have seen a massive drop in bookings and the only ones that are doing well are the UK and Spain.

But a lot of people have made their minds up that they want to be a lot closer to home for a few reason. Let us have a quick glance at the main ones.

1) By staying in the UK it will help the British economy recover alot faster then people splashing their money put to overseas destinations.
2) With the drop in value of the pound people believe that it will be much more expensive to travel abroad then it would to stay in a home country.
3) Spain is well known as being very similar to Britain so it is trusted by a lot of folk, a lot of people decide to visit Spain simply because the weather is said to be a lot better. As well as that as vast majority of people now have their own holiday homes in Spain.

In my opinion no matter what really happens to the economy holidays are a must and resorts that are based in the UK and in Spain will always be safe

If you are looking for fun, friendly and exciting family holidays, dancing holidays and bowling holidays

How can I easily get insured to travel to USA for two months from New Zealand?

June 26, 2009 - 8:08 pm 6 Comments

Im going on a road trip to the USA from New Zealand, and my mum wants me to get insurance but don't want to be ripped off by the travel agents insurance. Any good easy companies to deal with?

Are you a Southern Cross member.

I have had health insurance with Southern Cross and get a discount with Southern Cross Travel. I have found on a few occasions that Southern Cross travel was very good both because their policy was easy to understand and cheap.

Insurance for travel to the US *is* more expensive than say just to Australia. But it's worth checking a few different places.

You can get Southern Cross Travel Insurance even if you are not a member.

People to People Student Ambassador - Lindsey Rennie - Audition Video

June 26, 2009 - 7:06 pm 2 Comments

Hello, People to People and my fellow student ambassadors! My name is Lindsey Rennie from Baltimore, Maryland and I am traveling with my People to People delegation on the South Pacific adventure in July to New Zealand and Australia for 17 days. This is my audition video for the 2009 Student Reporter Video Contest. I believe I am the best ambassador because I love to explore and travel the world and meet the intriguing natives of many lands. Also, like People to People, I yearn for world peace. I know that my generation has the vigor and determination required to strive for and attain this peace. I am currently a working journalist and I am pursuing a career in broadcast journalism. Not only would the opportunity to document this amazing trip be a wonderful learning experience for me, it would also be very enjoyable for me. If given the chance, I would work endlessly to document this trip to the best of my abilities. Enjoy my video, and thank you for your consideration!

My rap was inspired by the theme song of the television show, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, performed by Will Smith. The lyrics I wrote are as follows:

Now these are the reasons all about why
I’m a great ambassador ready to fly.
And I only have a minute to make it clear
that I’m creative and respectful both abroad and here.

In Catonsville, Maryland, born and raised.
In the classroom is where I spend most of my days.
Studyin’, workin’ hard, learning in school,
you can call me a nerd but I’m really pretty cool.
I love to learn; I have a passion for knowledge.
Halfway through high school and anxious for college.

And I love to travel and explore new lands
gonna circle the globe from Sydney to Cannes.
If anything I can say this trip is rare,
so anxious and excited for July to hit the air!

I’m excited for my stay with a Kiwi family.
Man, July 1st really needs to come quickly!
At the Sydney Opera House, I’m finally here!
Whip out the camera, share the experience with my peers.
